SUMMARY
 I upgrade to linux-image-5.4.0-9-generic linux-modules-5.4.0-9-generic linux-modules-extra-5.4.0-9-generic and it requires a restart. Afterwards the backlight? is turn off/ the screen is very dim. I couldn't find a solution to re-brighten the screen.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. upgrade through the terminal to new linux image
2. after restart screen is dim/ backlight is turn off?
3. rollback with time shift the screen is working properly

OBSERVED RESULT
Dim Screen

EXPECTED RESULT
screen at acceptable brightness
