Description Yuri Chornoivan 2020-01-11 15:41:48 UTC
SUMMARY
It is reported that the "Apply" button in the right bottom corner of the KCM page becomes active only after switching the anti-aliasing setting in the current git master (5.17.80) after switching to QML. It cannot be triggered by switching the fonts themselves.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open "Fonts" KCM.
2. Change the "General" font.

I do not test this by myself, just have a report.

OBSERVED RESULT
As it was reported privately, the "Apply" button will not be activated.

EXPECTED RESULT
The "Apply" button is activated.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: x
KDE Plasma Version: 5.17.80

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Thanks in advance for testing/consideration.

When changing the font settings, the "Apply" button is always inactive.
But if you poke the “Anti-Aliasing:” checkbox several times, then the button becomes active. This has to be done with every font setup.

The problem present on the OS Neon unstable and ROSA Desktop Fresh

KDE Plasma: 5.17.80
KDE Frameworks: 5.66.0
Qt: 5.14.0

Change settings

The settings have been changed, but there is no way to apply the settings.
On the button at the top, by its color it is visible that the settings have been changed.

Hmm, this works fine for me in git master.

I'm a little confused right now.
On the Neon works correctly.

But the packages that I collect locally on the Rosa OS give this error.
I’m still observing the behavior of this setting.

It turned out there is a mistake on Neon.
When I downloaded and installed the Neon disk image for 2020-01-07 to check this problem, there was no error.
Then I updated the newly installed system and turned it off.
Now Neon loaded again, hoping to see the difference in console output.
It turned out that after the Neon update this error appeared. :(
