SUMMARY


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Install ubuntu software preferences (gtk)
2. Launch Ubuntu software preferences -> drivers and KCM driver manager
3. Ubuntu software prefs will display some drivers within about five seconds. KCM will never display anything.

Is this a kubuntu bug?

We don't have a driver manager, so it must be something downstream. Please try to find out where it's from and report there 

If unsure upload a screenshot and reopen and I'll ask people
