SUMMARY
U.S. 104 key keyboard (Dell RT7D50), run kcalc inside gnome.  Attempt to use shift-8 for * or shift-= for +, and neither works. 

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Start kcalc
2. type shift-8 or shift-=
3. Watch the buttons on the on-screen keyboard

OBSERVED RESULT
The buttons don't get activated

EXPECTED RESULT
The buttons are activated

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Workaround: Turn on num lock, use the numeric keypad.

Couldn't reproduce on current master, probably got fixed at some point. Closing as fixed.
