Left panel shadow is much larger

SUMMARY
Panel shadow size no longer consistent between my two panels like they were before last update.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
Not sure how to reproduce. Maybe just put a panel on the left and another on top with shadows turned on.

OBSERVED RESULT
The left panel has a far bigger shadow and it didn't before the last update.

EXPECTED RESULT
Both panels should have the same shadow size.

KDE Plasma Version: 5.17.4

Latte does not change anything about panel shadows. Close Latte and add plasma panels at the same edges you should notice same shadows. Probably your plasma theme was updated and contains different shadows for top and left panels.

Shadows match when top panel settings is open
Comment 3 adamska156 2020-01-09 17:21:48 UTC
I actually made this theme and I have made no changes to it in months. I have remembered something else that should be very relevant. This first appeared when I opened the left panel settings. It is the same shadow that appears when going into editing mode. However after closing the panel menu, the shadow persisted. In fact if I open the settings of the top panel you can see that the two shadows are identical. However the top panel reverts to the normal panel shadow from my theme. I have added an attachment that shows this.

1. What is the plasma theme to try to reproduce.
2. Close Latte and tell me afterwards what I have to do exactly in order to reproduce in my system
3. What is your Qt version?

1. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/zgrql9zkfhradgj/AACdPrmNHwDji-2N2xdaKdWia?dl=0
2. This issue is present every time I start Latte now. After the initial glitch where the 'editing shadow' didn't go away after closing editing mode, it is now persistently glitched.
3. 5.14.0

Wow, I figured out what it was...I had somehow switched to dock mode instead of panel mode. I apologize. I feel silly now. You can close this.

it should not behave differently... I just need to track down what qt 5.14 broke again so I will leave this open in case I need even more information...

Some more information, the plasma theme you sent me is not valid. In widgets/panel-background.svgz the shadows provided are inconsistent. I think the provided panel shadows are not aligned properly between each other... If you manage to reproduce this with any other alternative plasma theme we can reopen.
