SUMMARY This is just a minor cosmetic issue, but I thought of reporting it anyway. In the People panel, if you go to the Unknown section and select several faces and tag them with a name, the progress bar on the bottom will start at 100% and end at 0%. Everything still works just fine, it's just that the progress bar goes backwards. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Select several faces from the Unknown category in People. 2. Tag them with a name. 3. Observe progress bar. OBSERVED RESULT Goes from 100 to 0. EXPECTED RESULT Goes from 0 to 100. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS digikam-7.0.0-beta2-20200105T130918-x86-64.appimage in Ubuntu 18.04LTS with Unity.
If you open the progress manager, you will see that there are 2 processes in quick succession. The first jumps to 100, then the second starts at 0. In the overall display it looks as if it is going backwards. Maik
Aha. It could be what you say. What I usually see, is a bar for each tagged image, and the one on top being the one that appears to go backwards. Here is an example: https://imgur.com/a/OygbhZs

Hi. Just to confirm this still happens in the 8.0.0 preview appimage. I have tagged lots of faces these days, and the progress bar goes backwards. Apparently it's just for faces, for normal tags, it goes from 0 to 100%.
