SUMMARY
When I try to connect using * .ovpn file, I get the error "Missing VPN plugin".
The error message contains a critically low amount of information. Which plugin? What mistake?


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create OpenVPN server and config it.
2. Get *.ovpn file.
3. Open the connection manager and export the ovpn file.
4. Right click on the connection and select “connect”.
5. Get an error "Missing VPN plugin".


OBSERVED RESULT
Error message "Missing VPN plugin".


EXPECTED RESULT
I want to connect to vpn. Or I want to see a more detailed error, for self-troubleshooting or searching for help information.

You are missing the openvpn plugin for NetworkManager.

The error message has meanwhile been updated to make this clear and offers to install the necessary parts. See https://invent.kde.org/plasma/plasma-nm/-/merge_requests/102 and https://invent.kde.org/plasma/plasma-nm/-/merge_requests/194
