Hi, what do you mean by smoothing tool? is it brush smoothing? https://docs.krita.org/en/reference_manual/tools/freehand_brush.html?highlight=smoothing#smoothing. If so you may have the Tool options set to "In toolbar" which makes the tool options be a popup docker like brush settings or preset chooser is. Make sure you have tool options set to "in Docker" if you find this confusing: https://docs.krita.org/en/reference_manual/preferences/general_settings.html?highlight=settings#tools-settings
Created attachment 124944 [details] Fig1.JPG Hey, thank you so much for the very prompt reply! Yup, I mean the brush smoothing. I've got "Tool Options" checked off in the Dockers, if that's what you mean? I'm a bit poor at explaining things, so I've included some screenshots. Fig 1 is my Krita layout Fig 2 is the where the brush smoothing is usually found for me, by clicking the brush icon Fig 3 is what I get when I click it, the assortment of different tips and types and so on. Fig 4 shows the far right of my screen. A little bar that says "Tool Options" sits there now, which is where I thought the smoothing might be hiding But Fig 5 shows that when I open it, it's empty. I hope this helps you help me! Thank you again for getting back to me so swiftly. > On January 5, 2020 at 6:31 PM vanyossi <bugzilla_noreply@kde.org> wrote: > > > https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=415908 > > vanyossi <ghevan@gmail.com> changed: > > What |Removed |Added > ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Resolution|--- |WAITINGFORINFO > Status|REPORTED |NEEDSINFO > CC| |ghevan@gmail.com > > --- Comment #1 from vanyossi <ghevan@gmail.com> --- > Hi, what do you mean by smoothing tool? is it brush smoothing? > https://docs.krita.org/en/reference_manual/tools/freehand_brush.html?highlight=smoothing#smoothing. > If so you may have the Tool options set to "In toolbar" which makes the tool > options be a popup docker like brush settings or preset chooser is. > > Make sure you have tool options set to "in Docker" if you find this confusing: > https://docs.krita.org/en/reference_manual/preferences/general_settings.html?highlight=settings#tools-settings > > -- > You are receiving this mail because: > You reported the bug.

It looks like Tool Options has decided to reappear for me with the brush smoothing! Thank you again and sorry for bothering you. I very much appreciate the free service that Krita provides.
Hey, so, false alarm on the fix-it. The smoothing options seem to have gone away again, and zooming in and out with the + and - keys aren't working either. It also is extremely slow to respond to scrolling up and down.
