Example of initial gwenview screen after opening remote image

SUMMARY
When opening remote images in gwenview, they are not initially displayed. Instead, the user must press the "View" button in the toolbar to display the remote image.

The proper behavior can be observed when opening a local image. Opening a local image immediately shows the image in the gwenview window.

Screenshot attached.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open a remote image on the command line or through the "File->Open" dialog. For example: "gwenview https://xannode.com/gwenview.png"

OBSERVED RESULT
The image is "partially" loaded. The titlebar reflects the image resolution and meta information is populated, but the image is not displayed in the main gwenview window. The "view" toolbar button must be pressed in order to display the remote image.

EXPECTED RESULT
It's expected that the remote image be loaded immediately.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS

Linux/KDE Plasma: archlinux plasma
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version: 5.17.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.65.0
Qt Version: 5.14.0

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I've experienced this on multiple arch linux machines. I've cleared out my gwenviewrc and still have this issue with a default config. I also saw this bug which is potentially related, but not totally sure (https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=343796)

How bizarre. Can reproduce.
