SUMMARY Deleting a single instance in KOrganizer from a recurring event doesn't get synchronized to the server. This happens, as far as I know, at least both with Google and CalDav calendars. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Create a recurring event (either in KOrganizer or an external client). Check that it's been properly synchronized and appears in all clients involved. 2. Delete a single instance in KOrganizer. The event disappears from KOrganizer, but not from the server. It will still show in any other client you are using. 3. Modify ANOTHER single instance of the recurring event (for example, it's starting time), this time from an external client. 4. The previously deleted event reappears in KOrganizer. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Neon 5.17 KDE Plasma Version: 5.17.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.65.0 Qt Version: 5.13.2
Confirmation in the context of my report to the other bug: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=418811 When doing "cut", the event wasn't deleted from nextcloud.
This is still happening years later (I'm on KOrganizer 6.5.3 now). So, for example, let's say you do something weekly. But then, for one specific week, you go to KOrganizer and delete that appointment, or change it to another time. From that moment on, the calendars in your computer and your phone will be different! I think this is a critical bug, since you can miss appointments, or attend ones that had been cancelled. Both things have happened to me. If it won't be fixed, at least KOrganizer should warn you to not change recurring events.
