Version 4.0.1 is very old and the link it gives is the old (now invalid) manual location. It would be a good idea to update your repository or get the latest 4.2.8 appimage from the krita download site. That link is now: https://docs.krita.org/en/user_manual/getting_started.html?pk_campaign=startup-sceen&pk_kwd=getting-started and it works. Please reply to confirm this and that it works for you and set the Status to Resolved Not a bug if it does.
