SUMMARY

Refreshing process does not end.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1.delete data for android kdeconnect 
2.delete all files for kde kdeconnect 
3. Restart PC then open a kde session
4. pair smartphone and pc
4. complete android kdeconnect settings
5 in plasmoid menu select "Messages SMS"

OBSERVED RESULT

A window "SMS instant messaging" opens.
Progress circle is displayed.
Refresh does not end.

EXPECTED RESULT

Refresh ends and sms historic is displayed.

Here is kde connect log extracted from "messages" log when I launch "Messages SMS" in kdeconnect plasmoid.

i forgot to say i use "google messages" as default SMS app in S7

Thank you for taking the time to report this.
Unfortunately this is a known issue with Samsung phones because Samsung has not complied with the way Android says messages should be stored.
