Created attachment 124554 [details] attachment-3499-0.html I think this was caused by a (not so recent) change regarding save states - the old save state format was ignored, but I believe we fixed that. what happens if you open a new tab with ctrl + shift + t, or if you try to split a window with ctrl + shift + ( ? Might also be bug#415242. Are you using the "Black on Light Background" colorscheme by chance? (would result in black text on black background) Does switching to a different color scheme help?
Is this still an issue? The konsole package in openSUSE Tumbleweed contains the fix for bug#415242 since a couple of days.
As there's still no reply, I'll mark this as duplicate. The mentioned problem with restoring the saved state was indeed fixed earlier already, in 19.08.1/2 (see bug#412173). *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 415242 ***
