Created attachment 124545 [details] Video of the issue. SUMMARY As a video says more than a thousand words, please have a look at the attachment. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open KSystemlog, a root password prompt will appear 2. Enter a wrong password 3. Enter a 2nd time a wrong password 4. Enter a 3rd time a wrong password OBSERVED RESULT It takes quiet a time first (around 6 seconds on my system) until the password was proven wrong. The dialog then shows a warning and a hint "Access denied. Probably a wrong password was used. (...)" As the text is rather wide, the dialog box's width increases. After entering a 2nd time a wrong password the warning and hint text first disappears until the the password gets proven wrong again. But now the text comes back with an even bigger font and hence the dialog box increases in size again! Entering a 3rd time a wrong password does not increase the size again. Probably the maximum has already been reached. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Manjaro Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.17.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.66.0 Qt Version: 5.13.2
I saw this behavior yesterday with password dialog to confirm installation of "Root Actions Servicemenu" in Dolphin preferences > Services. Operating System: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.17.90 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.66.0 Qt Version: 5.14.0
Can no longer reproduce it.
it's still reproducible on my Arch and neon unstable.
Yes, I can reproduce it still too, on openSUSE TW. (I must have confused the bug when I closed it.)
