SUMMARY The color chooser used to make it possible to adjust a color by RGB or HTML components. Now, with a color chosen, if you choose Custom, you get just a random shade of red instead of the color you're editing. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Import graphic 2. Use eyedropper to select a color 3. Double click on the selected color to bring up Select Color dialog 4. Click the plus sign under Custom 5. The HTML is for some shade of red (with no more RGB or HSV) OBSERVED RESULT Fine tuning, documenting, and reproducing colors is no longer possible with KolourPaint. Basically the only feature that made it more usable than GIMP or someother heavy-weight graphics package. Can you check if you see the same color picker as mentioned in bug #415064 ? I assume this is a distribution specific issue.
