Description meow64 2019-12-06 21:50:51 UTC
It will be nice to have the ability to customize keyboard shortcuts, and for each shortcut choose :

- if the screenshot should be saved
- if the screenshot should be copied to clipboard
- or both

And choose capture mode (fullscreen, rectangle, etc...)

You can do so by adding custom keyboard shortcuts in the system setting which run spectacle with flags:

-c to add it to clipboard
-f somefile.jpg to save it.

Thanks for the info about doing a custom shortcut with flags, that works great.

Would be ideal to have this as a simple toggle in Spectacle settings, seems much more user friendly that way.

The capture mode can be selected; there are separate keyboard shortcuts configurable (from Spectacle -> *Configure* -> *Shortcuts* pane) for fullscreen, active window, ...

That doesn't get you the specific options for that kind of screenshot, though.

This can already be achieved by setting up custom shortcuts that use Spectacle's CLI.
