Description Deena 2019-12-05 16:11:10 UTC
SUMMARY
None of the drop down menus work. FILE, EDIT, TOOLS, LAYOUT, WINDOW, ETC. This includes the stabilization options for brushes i.e. none, basic, etc.
I cannot SAVE AS under the FILE button, so my documents cannot be saved any other way than a KRITA document. I have to open my task manager to exit the application because again, FILE drop down does not work. I cannot dock any other tools onto my work space because TOOLS button does not drop down. Nothing drops down. I originally had version 4.2.7.1. I uninstalled it. Reinstalled version 4.2.8. Same issue. I tried using my tablet and pen and I've tried using my mouse. No change. Drop downs work normally on all other applications on my computer.

I'm not sure what you actually mean, but try resetting krita's configuration: uninstalling and reinstalling doesn't do that. Please remove everything that has krita in the name from %LOCALAPPDATA% and %APPDATA%.

Can you then tell me which files and folders you removed and whether it helped?

Anything you click on that drops down for choices i.e. FILE drops down to SAVE, SAVE AS, EXIT etc, does not work. I am out of town without my computer. I will try that when I get home. Thank youSent from my T-Mobile 4G LTE Device

Could you perhaps make a screen recording and attach that to the bug report? I'm really puzzled about what's going on here.

You were also asked to reset your configuration: https://docs.krita.org/en/KritaFAQ.html#resetting-krita-configuration Please do that and tell us if it helped.

Also to do a screen recording: you can either install OBS Studio and record your screen this way, or, even easier, this little app to record your screen as gif: https://www.screentogif.com/
