Description RaitaroH 2019-12-03 09:47:53 UTC
SUMMARY
Before I start, sorry but I have no idea where to file this bug under.
When the computer boots up and the login screen is shown, the password input field is not focused, that is if I start typing nothing happens. I need to manually click on the field to be able to type anything.
This bug doesn't affect my lockscreen though. On the lockscreen the password field is focused by default.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Boot up computer
2. Reach login screen
3. Type - password not entered due to field not being focused

OBSERVED RESULT
Password field is not focused.

EXPECTED RESULT
The password field should be focused by default so that one can just start typing instead of having to fiddle with a mouse.

Fixed already in 5.18: https://cgit.kde.org/plasma-workspace.git/commit/?id=2d066f00e88467daa054edd03abf18016c817568

I was under the impression that this got backported to 5.17.x, but apparently it didn't. Thanks to this bug report, I just backported it in https://cgit.kde.org/plasma-workspace.git/commit/?h=Plasma/5.17&id=e7803ecc58272236a6dd491a9d05cf230202d88c.

Unfortunately Plasma 5.17.4 was just released today, do you'll need to wait until 5.17.5.
