Description kde.bugreport.mail 2019-12-01 09:51:00 UTC
SUMMARY
When pressing ESC during a file rename, the focus of operation switches to the tabs.
When pressing Enter during a file rename, the focus remains on the file.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. On folder or file press F2 (or right-click rename)
2. Press ESC
3. Focus is now on the tabs (or out of the selected file/folder)

OBSERVED RESULT
The focus unexpectedly changes from the file to the tabs.

EXPECTED RESULT
Focus should remain on the file, as it does when the renaming is finished by pressing Enter.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux: Debian 10 (Buster)
Qt: 5.11.3
KDE Frameworks: 5.54.0
kf5-config: 1.0
plasmashell 5.14.5

Cannot reproduce. Debian Buster is using a version of Dolphin that's over a year old; assuming the issue is fixed in a more recent one.
