SUMMARY A feature I know from MS Visual Studio is, that a full text search in one editor can directly used in any other editor. So when I'm looking for a pattern in one file, I can continue the search in any other editor by changing the editor and hitting F3. Very useful. In KDevelop each editor needs to enter the search pattern again or to select it from the shared search pattern history. This seems to be no big action, but once you get used to the easiness of continuing a search among many open or opened editors (eg. together with a search in files), you will not miss it, since it allows you to check and correct many locations very fast. STEPS TO REPRODUCE Start a full text search with Strg+F entering any pattern. Optional repeat search to next occurrence. Go to another editor (eg. by Strg+Tab or list from search in files). Try to directly continue the search. OBSERVED RESULT It is necessary to enter or to choose the search pattern again in the new editor. EXPECTED RESULT A started search in one editor should be able to be continued directly in any other editor. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Independend. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION -
