OBSERVED RESULT trashcan size is 444 GB a side effect : my home partition is full EXPECTED RESULT trashcan size < 88,3 GB SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.13.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.64.0 Qt Version: 5.13.1 ADDITIONAL INFORMATIO hypothesis: i set the maximum size for trashcan to 10 % then trashcan management displays "10,000 % (88,29 GB)" "88,29 GB" is good "10,000 %" for french syntax is equal to "10 %". This is good. But if "10,000 %" is interpreted with English syntax this is equal to "ten thousand %" ! This is not good.

The number is localized, so it shows up as 100.000% in English, which is fine. Possibly Bug 205854. Does automatic cleanup get triggered if you put one more item in the trash?
