Start kmail 2. View the mail list for the inbox or a folder that contains both read and unread emails. OBSERVED RESULT Read emails are a brighter colour than unread emails. EXPECTED RESULT Unread emails should be a brighter colour than read emails. The same issue can be seen with the default Breeze theme.

I gave up with kmail so not sure if this is still an issue. As there doesn't seem to be any other interest I'm closing this report.
