SUMMARY
When I starts krita on windows8.1 x64 the followinf error comes up, and not letting continue to start krita.
The procedure entry point _o__configure_narrow_argv could not be located in the dynamic link library --> d3compiler_47.dll



STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Installed x64, (also tried x86 and zip file)
2. Just started exe
3. 

OBSERVED RESULT
Dialog with the above said error not allowing start the program.

We don't have a windows 8 system left to test with, but this looks pretty system specific. Has Krita always given this error for you, or only recently? And can you confirm you really are using 4.2.7.1?

https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/forums/gfn-for-pc/22/297762/cant-start-geforce-now-after-update/ suggests it's something to do with nvidia drivers... Maybe those need reinstallation?

It was related to system. Needed to install some missing components as said in link.
