SUMMARY In the Italian-localized version of Kate the Replace All button ('Sostituisci &tutto') in Find and Replace is assigned the Alt+T keyboard shortcut; however, the Tools menu ('S&trumenti') has the same shortcut and overrides it. This makes it impossible to quickly replace all occurrences with Alt+T and the user is forced to click on the button or Tab their way to it. The same issue is present in Kwrite as well. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open any text file with Kate 2. Bring up the Find and Replace panel and enter some text in the two text fields 3. Press Alt+T OBSERVED RESULT The Tools menu (Strumenti in Italian) opens EXPECTED RESULT The Replace All button (Sostituisci tutto) is activated and the text replacement applied to the text in the editor SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: Windows 10 Linux/KDE Plasma: Mageia 7 KDE Plasma Version: 5.15 (only applies to Mageia) KDE Frameworks Version: 5.62 for Windows, 5.57 for Mageia Qt Version: 5.13 for Windows, 5.12 for Mageia
Just wanted to say that the problem is still there on version 20.04.2. Windows 10: KDE Frameworks 5.71.0, Qt 5.15.0 Mageia Linux: KDE Frameworks 5.72.0, Qy 5.15.0
Collisions can even happen in English, such as with the Search button in the Search and Replace sidebar. It would be preferable to have explicitly assigned shortcuts for the Replace, Replace All buttons.
