Created attachment 123876 [details] systemd journal entries from Discover SUMMARY It takes way too much time for Discover to check for updates. The progress bar isn't helpful because it hangs at what appears to be 75%-ish for most of the time. If I check for updates using my package manager (alpm/pacman) it does not take near as much time. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open Discover 2. Click On Updates OBSERVED RESULT EXPECTED RESULT SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Discover goes through PackageKit rather than directly using the distro package manager. What distro are you using? Also does it take a similarly long time to run `pkcon refresh` or `pkcon update` in a terminal window?
