When opening a new application from krunner, it almost always placed behind the active one. Focus stealing prevention is set to low (default), switching to none does not help. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. activate krunner and type something, select an application to launch 2. there are no more steps OBSERVED RESULT The new application window is not visible EXPECTED RESULT The new application window is visible SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Archlinux, fully updated (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.17.2 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.63.0 Qt Version: 5.13.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I run plasma with almost default settings. The problem is the same if I use the system menu in the panel.
X or wayland
AFAICT X, as I did not do anything in particular to run wayland, and of course kwin_x11 is running. I updated after filing the issue, and got kde framworks 5.64, and the issue appears to affect fewer apps now. Okular still comes up behind, but Falkon for example right now comes up on top. Quite weird.
The requested information has been provided.
Is the issue present in latest plasma (5.26 or 5.27)?
