KDEnlive GUI

SUMMARY

As I cannot go back to the "normal" version, I have no idea how to reproduce the bug. Here are the descriptions of the bugs I am suddenly encountering.

VIDEO PREVIEW BUG: I can no longer double-click on the video preview (top right) to open it to fullscreen: it only plays and pauses the "small" video preview. I have to manually click on Options/Zoom and then on the fullscreen.

SHRUNK TIMELINE BUG: The timelines of Videos and Audios are shrunk (cf. attachment) and I cannot resize them.

FYI: Before these two bugs, I suppose that KDEnlive crashed making all my graphics crash (I could no longer do anything on the desktop, but the music I was listening to on Rhythmbox still played). I cannot affirm that it was KDEnlive that crashed as I had other apps open (Files, Rhythmbox, GIMP). But I can say that before this crash, I used KDEnlive in the afternoon without these bugs. What I also changed between the working KDEnlive and the weird one is that I installed the breeze theme (with icons) and set it up to KDEnlive. I also tried to put a picture with transparency in my project.
Since the bugs, I tried to purge KDEnlive and install it again with no luck. I still have the same problems and don't know what to do.

Thank you for any help you can provide.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Comment 1 Henrique Sant'Anna 2020-09-21 15:27:21 UTC
Tested with kdenlive-20.11.70-8a08988-x86_64.appimage.

About monitor double click:

I can double click over video monitor and it goes full screen.

There is a particular situations where I double click and it wont goes full screen: that is when I select in timeline a clip or a track that haves an effect like zoom or transform, that puts a layer over de monitor that is used to receive mouse commands.

About timeline track thickness:

At current version it can be resized.

I suggest you to test the described behavior with kdenlive daily build appimage and report if the behavior persists, otherwise close this bug.

Thanks for your report! Like Henrique Sant'Anna said (thanks to you too!) this should be fixed with the latest version (20.12.3 at the moment, https://kdenlive.org/en/download/), please check and close if you can confirm it is solved.

If there are layers like transform, etc., double click is meant to add/remove keyframes. Other ways to toggle full screen would be to define a shortcut or use the button on the monitor toolbar (it appears when you hover on the right side of the monitor).

Hello,

Thanks both for your answers.
I solved the bug a while ago (sorry for the late reply) by deleting the following UI configuration file ~/.config/kdenliverc

I haven't used it much since then, but last time it seemed to work for a full evening without problems.
