When taking a screenshot on Wayland a small window opens in the top left corner where user can select area to screenshot. But nothing indicates that you're supposed to do it in there.

That either needs to be better indicated or the screenshot should just be taken on the main view without the little view in the top left corner.

This was fixed by meven over the last year, no need to keep this open.
