SUMMARY On the latest Falkon release for Linux with Flatpak (version 3.1.99) all dialog windows (such as "Save as" or "Open file" or even the small window saying a file has been downloaded) are opened silently in the background instead of being opened in the foreground (with the focus). This is very disturbing. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Go the a web site 2. Press Ctrl+s OBSERVED RESULT The dialog window is opened in background. EXPECTED RESULT The dialog window should be opened in foreground (with the focus). SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: 5.x (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.x KDE Frameworks Version: 5.x Qt Version: 5.x I will post the exact versions later. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION The issue is not present with Falkon 3.1.0 under Windows.
Thanks for the report, Vincent. I've just tested this on Falkon 3.1.0 and I can't replicate the issue with Save As, Open or Downloading Files. Can you please test and confirm if this issue is still occurring or if this bug report can be marked as resolved. I've set the bug status to "needsinfo" pending your response, please change back to "reported" or "resolved" when you respond, thanks.
Hello Justin, Yes the bug is still here, which looks normal as my config has not changed: Falkon 3.1.99 via Flatpack under Debian stable. Thanks, Vincent.

What is the build ID of your version? It's in Help > About Falkon in brackets after 3.1.99. I'm on fcfdc34 and it's working for me.
My build ID is the same, fcfdc34.
(In reply to Vincent Frison from comment #4) > My build ID is the same, fcfdc34. What operating system are you running it on?
I'm using Debian stable and Falkon is installed by Flatpack.
Today May 15, 2024, in Falkon Version 24.02.02 still the same bug either returns or persists. This version is rewritten / rebuilt I read, but also the version 22.x shows the same bug. Same for Flatpak or (Debian 12) system (.deb) version! Rather annoying... Will something be done about it, please? Let me know! Thank you. Ed, BE.
