I have set window transparency to be changed by scrolling with the wheel on the title bar (as always) but that takes no effect. xdpyinfo shows RENDER, Composite, GLX and DRI2 to be enabled. The output module for the compositor is set to OpenGL 2.0 in window settings.
Works here (KWin/X11 on current Tumbleweed). Could you please add the outpuf of qdbus org.kde.KWin /KWin supportInformation
I think the problem was that I selected GLX for rendering but the graphics card driver does not support it. I believe it should work with XRENDER on that machine. There are quite severe problems with Xorg when running KDE: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=112185. You can use XRENDER but it will still crash the machine on the logout dialogue.
