SUMMARY
Applets become completely white

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Enable colour from window


OBSERVED RESULT
When a latte panel is set to match the colour of a window, all applets on the panel become white

EXPECTED RESULT
Panel colour should match the title bar of the window, with all applets unaffected

No it should not, Windows provide both background color AND text color. And not only they even provide highlight color etc... If you want to be informed about this you can read http://psifidotos.blogspot.com/2019/02/latte-and-colors-tale.html?m=1 and in the article you can read how to disable painting for specific applets.
