SUMMARY Currently, there are no keyboard shortcuts to resize terminal in the split-view mode. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open Konsole. 2. Split the view to get two terminals. 3. Try to change the size of one of the terminals via keyboard. OBSERVED RESULT There are no keyboard shortcuts to resize the terminal. It can only be resized with the mouse. EXPECTED RESULT There are keyboard shortcuts to resize the terminal horizontally (CTRL+SHIFT+Up/Down) and vertically (CTRL+SHIFT+Left/Right). SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Arch Linux (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.17.1 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.63.0 Qt Version: 5.13.1 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION N/A
Not sure if these were added recently but I am on 20.08.1 and have shortcuts for Expand View / Shrink View (Ctrl Shift [ and ]). Jiri can you please try on a more recent version of Konsole. These could likely have better names given to them, perhaps Expand Split Terminal / Shrink Split Terminal. Names found in code here: https://invent.kde.org/search?utf8=✓&search=Expand+View&group_id=1556&project_id=318
Wrong status, apologies.
Correct status
I can confirm that there are now shortcuts to Expand and Shrink the View using CTRL+SHIFT+[ and CTRL+SHIFT+]. Unfortunately this allows to resize the View only in one direction. If we have the window split vertically and then the right hand side View split further horizontally, I'm able to change the top right View only vertically but not sideways. In order to do that, I have to move to the left hand side View and do it there. Basically, we need four shortcuts (up, down, left, right), not only two (expand, shrink).
