Created attachment 123441 [details] messages when plasmashell fails to start SUMMARY I use a fresh version of mageia 7, with last up-date. I made no other modification except the widget. The installation of the widget "Comic Strip" seems to work fine. The configuration of the widget is also ok. The widget is then working fine. But on the next log in the widget make plasmashell crash. I get a black screen instead of the desktop. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Install comic strip widget on the desktop 2. Configure the widget and install a comics (Garfield for instance) 3. Log out 4. Log in OBSERVED RESULT plasmashell crash screen is black EXPECTED RESULT plasmashell run SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: 5.15.4 (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.15.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.57.0 Qt Version: 5.12.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I already reported this bug to mageia. Hi, I followed your instructions. I hope I did it right. I attached gdb to plasmashell. I don't know how to run gdb with the full command "kstart5 plasmashell". But the command "plasmashell" alone give exactly the same crash. So I used "gdb plasmashell". Crash is in libsqlite3. It could also be caused by an out-of-memory condition. In either case, not a Plasma bug.
