Description Filip Fila 2019-10-21 22:14:36 UTC
SUMMARY
My laptop screen only supports 60 Hz as the max refresh rate.

XRandr output: 1920x1080 60.02 + 60.01* 59.97 59.96 59.93

The KCM however says my refresh rate is 120 Hz: https://i.imgur.com/cdfgj8z.png

The drop down lets me choose between 60 Hz and 120 Hz.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1.Open Display Configuration KCM

OBSERVED RESULT
Reported refresh rate is 120 Hz.

EXPECTED RESULT
Reported refresh rate is 60 Hz.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System: Manjaro Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 5.17.0
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.63.0
Qt Version: 5.13.1

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This is under X11 and I don't remember having this issue prior to 5.17.

I'm seeing the same on my laptop which also only has 60 Hz.
I also saw that before 5.17 in the old KCM.

Thank you for the bug report. Unfortunately we were not able to get to it yet. Can we ask you to please check if this is still an issue with Plasma 5.25 or 5.26?

If it is, please change the status to CONFIRMED when replying, and paste the output of `kscreen-doctor -o`. If not, or if you can't because you no longer use this setup, you can change the status to RESOLVED WORKSFORME. Thanks a lot!

Comment 4 Filip Fila 2022-11-25 07:44:27 UTC
There's no drop down anymore, it just says 60 Hz is the only rate the laptop reports so I'm going to say it got fixed along the way.
