Description Jim 2019-10-19 07:01:34 UTC
SUMMARY
Relative Zoom Mode is smooth and fast if I use my mouse but laggy when using the stylus on the Pen Display(XP-PEN Artist Display 22E Pro.)

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Hold CTRL+Space, then use stylus on the pen display to activate Relative Zoom Mode to zoom in and out.

OBSERVED RESULT
Zooming in and out with a Pen Display using Relative Zoom Mode produces a very laggy canvas, especially when zooming out. At times it looks like the canvas is frozen in place only to update/refresh in a different location. On the contrary, if I use my mouse to operate Relative Zoom Mode it works very smoothly and fast without any lag. Using the Pen Display to in Pan Mode or Rotate mode is fast and smooth, only the Relative Zoom Mode seems laggy.

EXPECTED RESULT
Relative Zoom Mode on using stylus on Pen Display just as responsive as using a mouse.

Here is a recording of the laggy Relative Zoom Mode when using the stylus pen on the pen display.

Here is Relative Zoom Mode working normally when I use my mouse.

What I just found strange was the fact that in the laggy zoom video where I used the stylus pen, the magnifying-glass-cursor-icon didn't seem to move except when I lifted my pen, but in actuality, the cursor was moving around and following wherever my pen tip was on the pen display as I used the Relative Zoom Mode.

If anyone has this problem I found the solution.

I disabled(unchecked) "Windows Ink" in the XP-PEN PenTablet Driver Software and it fixed this Relative Zoom Mode problem.
