SUMMARY
On Plasma 5.17, if I try to apply a special application rule to an application, the whole Plasma session crashes when clicking "Okay".

I can confirm on my system.
Wayland session also crashes when...

I enable the OSD that appears when we switch between virtual desktops in virtual desktop KCM

I change the Global theme

I change the window decoration

I change any font setting

I change the task switcher (I changed from default theme to Large Icons)

Reported as bug 411980 before Plasma 5.17 to be released.

Any crash needs a backtrace, otherwise we can't do much.

That's most likely one of dmabuf crashes.

yes, I can't reproduce this crash after update to kwin 5.17.2.
