Close icon missing

In the last few days the close icon on tabs in Kate has disappeared. The functionality on that part of the tab remains, but the icon is gone.

Using standard tab function, not a plugin.
See attached image.

Hmm, is the used icon missing in Oxygen?
Comment 2 Greg Lepore 2019-10-21 14:02:44 UTC
I'm not sure of the locations of the icons, but the close icon is missing from the tab in every icon choice I have on my system (Breeze, Breeze Dark, Crystal Remix and Oxygen), so I think it's on Kate's end.

I have just updated to 19.08.3 (from 19.04.3) in Gentoo and I just had the same surprise.

Of course ctrl+w still works and there is a contextual menu (on which "close document" appears with a specific icon) but there is no close button visible.

Not visible is not the same as not there. Clicking on the right of the tab does close it. Which suggests it is just invisible somehow.

Marking as reopened as the problem is again occuring. Perhaps a problem with theming or icons?

Greg I've just tested on kate from git master and cannot reproduce this issue.

Can you please re-rest and confirm this is still an issue for you, thanks.

Seems to be fixed on my install, marking as resolved.
