SUMMARY After selecting Settings, Configure Digikam, Image Editor, Versioning, Unchecking all tickboxes still leaves the original image and intermediate versions visible. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Menu Settings 2. Configure Digikam 3. Image Editor 4. Versioning 5. Uncheck all tickboxes OBSERVED RESULT All image versions remain visible in main window. EXPECTED RESULT Only latest image version should remain visible. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux Mint 19.2 Cinnamon ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This is not a bug, it depends on how you saved a image. If you did not use versioning before, all edited images will be a new branch, just like the BQM is used. An original image is hidden only if "Save changes" is used in the image editor. The option "Save as new image" creates a new branch and the original image is not hidden. Maik
Maik, I don't yet check recently in setup/versionning dialog page if this information is visible, but perhaps to place a tips widget always visible, can be a plus, as this kind of bugs is reported a lots since a while. Gilles
