gdb trace of when it hangs.

SUMMARY
Hanging of plasmashell. It seems related to an external monitor on a laptop.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. restart the computer, with two screen
2. Wait and see plasmashell eating 100% of the CPU while not showing up.


EXPECTED RESULT
Some plasmashell features, such as the taskbar, should appear.

Linux/KDE Plasma: Archlinux

Would that be possible to change this bug report importance to "crash". I don't seem to have access to that.

That isn't a gdb trace.

I am not sure to understand what do you mean. I was using the repository packages. The trace were provided by running "gdb plasmashell" then a series of "continues" with "thread apply all backtrace". So it helps to know where it hangs/stalls.

A lot of stuff with #0  0x00007fffd08f52f1 in ?? () from /usr/lib/qt/qml/org/kde/private/desktopcontainment/folder/libfolderplugin.so

Is this still reproducible for you? If so, please install debug symbols for plasma and get a new trace so we can see where exactly it's stuck. Thanks!
