Description George Ellenburg 2002-04-19 00:31:20 UTC
(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package: knode
Version: KDE 3.0.0
Severity: wishlist
Installed from: FreeBSD Ports
Compiler: Not Specified
OS: Not Specified
OS/Compiler notes: Not Specified

In the settings and options provide space for entering SpamCop (www.spamcop.net) reporting Email address.

Upon selecting multiple KNode articles automatically send an Email message to the SpamCop reporting address as entered in the configuration with the entire message source for each selected message attached to the outgoing Email as separate mime attachments.

Maybe provide a button on the toolbar for reporting the spam?

The more easier it is for people to report spam then hopefully more will do so and spam will become less prevalent.

Having the ability to select multiple messages and having each message automatically included as a MIME attachment will significantly make things easier.

Since SpamCop will automatically send a confirmation reply back to the sender with embedded hyperlinks which must be acted upon until further processing is completed prompting for a message body and subject are not too terribly important. Of course the message still needs to contain the individual full source of the messages as separate MIME attachments.

Also each SpamCop poster has a unique posting Email address which is why the reporting address needs to be a configurable item and not hard coded.

This also has the benefit of if future services are created as long as they can deal with MIME attachments for each individual message then the feature should still work - no matter what service it is.

Is this wish still valid?
