SUMMARY
Occasionally I'm experiencing an issue where a drop down menu (translucency enabled, no kvantum) experiences a bug. I believe it occurs when the menu is closed, but it picks up some background imagery from other windows below and then stays resident obscuring activity. I'm able to slide windows under it while it remains resident above everything. I believe this issue is occurring with steam for Linux. I've tried kill/kstart5 etc to restart kde/kwin without rebooting and switching to a new tty and back to desktop but I'm only able to resolve the issue with a reboot thus far.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Various drop down menus in steam with menu translucency enabled as far as I have been able to ascertain

OBSERVED RESULT
Stuck graphics of some kind in the shape of the menu even after the menu has been closed

EXPECTED RESULT
Clean exit of menu draw

Does this issue happen only with Steam or some other applications as well?

> drop down menu (translucency enabled,
You're talking about the translucency effect, right?
