We have never seen the problem and is not reproducible here. Is the window content active? Or was it just the background before the window opened? Can you reproduce the problem with the AppImage from www.digikam.org? Maik
Well… I open DK 6.3.0 from AppImage, and there isn't problem. With delivered with manjaro version, window opens. There is any content. I can move and resize this window, but i can't close it. Window closes with main program. PS. I found one method to close this window without closing DK – open "Edit geolocation", and close it. "Geolocation edition" opens new instance of this window. When I close this tool, and I change tab from map to other, both inactive windows (from map tab, and geolocation edition) are closed. In map tab still active, only one window is closed.
I never seen this dysfunction too. I suspect a Marble feature compiled under Manjaro. Can you start Marble stand alone application and look if this window appear ? Gilles Caulier

Thanks :) Marble as application works fine. There is no problem with map in DigiKam. I can move, scale and change map. Only this mysterious window opens…
I have Manjaro installed in a VM and can reproduce the window. The cause is broken Marble plugins because of missing dependencies. Since loading some plugins will fail, Marble will probably open the window. Since all the missing libraries are not available in the repositories and I do not feel like dealing with Manjaro anymore, you have to search for these libraries. It lacks: libgps => not available libwlocate => available libQt5SerialPort => available libshp => not available Maik
