Description kde 2019-10-03 13:44:39 UTC
Visiting some websites causes very high CPU load and lag, for example:
https://www.xonotic.org

It also happens with a new empty Falkon profile
Firefox on the same machine with an empty profile does not show this behaviour.

Operating System: openSUSE Tumbleweed 20190930
KDE Plasma Version: 5.16.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.62.0
Qt Version: 5.13.1
Kernel Version: 5.3.1-1-default
OS Type: 64-bit
Processors: 8 × AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 3500U w/ Radeon Vega Mobile Gfx
Memory: 13,5 GiB

I have tested this and while I can't see the lag I do see Qtwebengine threads going a bit nuts.

Though testing https://www.xonotic.org/ in Vivaldi (Chromium based) I get similar results.

Web developers need to calm down a bit.

Browsing that site with Firefox shows much less CPU load. Maybe it's a Chromium/QtWebEngine problem.
