The KRA file are at least visible in icon view with a default icon ?

If not please add KRA in album type mime item supported. Look in Setup/Views/Type-Mimes section of DK configuration dialog.

Here KRA are not generated but ORA are fine in digiKam. I just generated both file with Krita.

Look like Dolphin do not generate thumbnails for KRA and ORA...

Yes, that is, icon is visible cause you included KRA in default mime types on latest versions of Digikam (thanks for that and for add SVG too).

KRA files work here under openSUSE Tumbleweed and the current developer version without problems. The KRA files are processed by the QImage loader.

I have openSUSE-15.1 in the company on my laptop. Yes, the native digikam-6.0.0 version does not work with KRA files. The current digiKam-6.4.0 AppImage has locale problems, but the thumbnail and the preview of KRA files are loaded. The problem is solved with digiKam-6.4.0.

The reason why AppImage 6.4.0 work as expected is due to the update of KF5 at last stable version. This include KImageIO codecs with KRA support.

This is clearly an openSUSE-15.1 issue. Dolphin does not show thumbnails of new KRA files. The thumbnails showing Dolphin are still in the XDG thumbnail cache. If you delete it, thumbnails will no longer be displayed.

Sorry, I was wrong. I had disabled preview of KRA files...

As I wrote, the same issue occurs in two distinct PC with different OpenSUSE versions. Previously to report this bug, despite I realized this issue after creating new KRA files, I even opened an older KRA file and saved it to force system to recreate the thumbnails, but same results: Dolphin and Krusader shows the thumbnail, but Digikam (from repositories or in AppImage format) doesn't show them. ;)

digiKam 7.0.0 stable release is now published and now available as FlatPak:

We need a fresh feedback on this file using this version.

Thanks in advance

OpenSUSE 15.2
Digikam 7.0

Metadata is now correctly read (even image resolution).

Great work!!

Thank you
