Description jpg 2019-09-23 13:38:07 UTC
RSIbreak gives already several information but if I delay one or several breaks (short or long), I want to know it I am a reasonable man! ;-)

With the version 0.12.10 of RSIbreak, it is not possible.

Workrave is another software to prevent RSI, with less friendy interface from my point of view.
It gives the time since the last short and the last long breaks that are delayed.
It also gives the time until the next short and the next long breaks.

Please implement these functionalities for short and long breaks. It is useful to better manage my work with a computer.

Debian linux (testing)
RSIbreak 0 12.10
XFCE window manager

The time until next breaks is shown as tooltip, not sure if maybe tooltip is not shown on xfce?

I'm not sure what "the time since the last short and the last long breaks that are delayed" is useful for?

Or you mean the time since the last break that was *not* delayed?

The only tooltip I have is the name of the software that is "RSIBreak".

"the time since the last short and the last long breaks that are delayed" is useful to see if I bypassed too longer the last breaks.

I guess you're not using Plasma, are you?

This is what i get

How can I know if I'm using plasma or not.

For example, when I use workrave (another app to prevent RSI), I have several informations in the tooltip, something similar at you screenshot for RSIBreak.

Ah, you just said you're using XFCE on your comment #1, i'd go and complain to them with the fact that they're not implementing this feature.

Yes, I use XFCE but I didn't know if I can use Plasma at the same time.

As the workrave app gives some information in the tooltip, I thought that RSIBreak could do the same.

Your screenshot (thanks !) shows that it is only the case if we use Plasma.

The RSIBreak app could perhaps be enhanced to show the complete tooltip without using Plasma.

There's nothing Plasma specific in the code, the code uses a standard protocol to say what should be shown as tooltip, if XFCE doesn't show it, it's a bug in XFCE
