SUMMARY I have several identities that all filter into the same email account. One feature Thunderbird has is that I can select which identity to use when sending an email. If I manually edit the from, it still uses the default email address rather than the alternative one. Ideally the "From" field would have a drop-down to allow for aliases or other identities to be used. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Try to write an email 2. No way to select an alternate identity to use 3. It should be possible. In the composer window, ensure that "Identity" in the "View" menu is checked. There should then be a dropdown "Identity:" field, changing this will change the From address, signature and any other configures settings for that identity. Please report if this option is not present or does not appear to work.
