SUMMARY It is good to have a tooltip when you hover on the application menu button so you would know what it is. But given that you already know what it is, in this case when you have already clicked to open the menu, the tooltip should not be shown. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Click on the application menu 2. Move mouse immediately to inside the menu OBSERVED RESULT After a delay since first you click on the app menu, the tooltip will display wherever your mouse is. EXPECTED RESULT Tooltip should not be displayed. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: KDE neon 5.16 KDE Plasma Version: 5.16.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.62.0 Qt Version: 5.12.3 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
As a work around, you could disable decoration tooltips altogether.
Well, that would beg the next question which is where is that setting though. Must be an oversight from me but I haven't come across it yet.
