Description James Th 2019-09-22 17:10:10 UTC
SUMMARY
I use IMAP/SMTP, and I'm synchronising my emails and folder structure across a number of different devices. I would therefore like to have the possibility of being able to remove/hide local folders.

An old bug report exists: 44864 (from 2003-2012) - and most ppl seem to agree with the idea of being able to remove/hide local folders. Perhaps it's time to review this feature request?

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. open up Kmail, and try to remove local folders by right-clicking on them, or elsewhere.

OBSERVED RESULT
Local Folders can't be removed/hidden.

EXPECTED RESULT
I should be able to delete/hide them

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Open SUSE TW (latest)
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version: 5.16.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.61.0
Qt Version: 5.13.1

Yes, this would be nice.

Not to mention deleting any new incoming mail via notifications sends them to the Local Folder trash instead of the trash folder of the account they're from (unless you use the full interface to delete, then it correctly goes where it should). Local folders should be entirely optional. 'outboxes' are virtual temp folders for what goes out..
