Description Paolo Puggioni 2019-09-17 07:28:36 UTC
SUMMARY

It looks like it's a similar behaviour to an old resolved bug: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=331106

After installing version 4.2.6., some of my shortcuts had been reset. Loading my saved shortcuts profile had no effect and I had to edit them again.

All the canvas input settings had also been reset and I had to edit them as well.

After restarting, the changes to the normal shortcuts had been retained, but those to the canvas input settings had been reset again.

I created a new profile with a different name, and after restarting that profile doesn't appear in the list, and the canvas input settings are again reset to default.

It's impossible to retain my settings through different sessions.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Edit canvas input settings
2. (optional)Create new profile
3. Save new settings
4. Restart

OBSERVED RESULT

Canvas input settings are set to default on restart

EXPECTED RESULT

User's canvas input settings are saved

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

I included the initial issue with Krita shortcuts. However, issues with shortcuts and shortcuts profiles occurred only after the first install and did not persist after I edited and saved a new .shortcuts file. I mentioned it as I thought they were related, both happening at the same time.

I can't make this happen on my 4.2.6 on macos. I think it may be a configuration problem. Could you try resetting you config and try to reproduce the bug again? https://docs.krita.org/en/KritaFAQ.html#resetting-krita-configuration (this will of coure reset configuration to defaults, and erase all keyboard shortcuts)

Or maybe its another bug, how old was your previous version of krita? If too old the solution might be different.
