Did the "Background contrast" desktop effect get turned off?
(In reply to Nate Graham from comment #2) > Did the "Background contrast" desktop effect get turned off? No. It's still enabled.
The same thing happened on Void Linux after upgrade to frameworks 5.62. Operating System: void KDE Plasma Version: 5.16.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.62.0 Qt Version: 5.13.0 Kernel Version: 5.1.21_1
Got another report of this too. Confirming. Maybe a change in plasma-framework or KWindowSystem?
I helped debug someone with this at Akademy, he didn't have kwayland-integration compiled and installed
kwayland-integration package is already installed on my Arch Linux.
Same issue here, just after updating to KDE Frameworks 5.62. Appreciated that 'only' happens when the background color is a light one, i just checked but i detected other behavior, the issue seems to appear when the window under the panel/widget isn't a KDE one, checked with Qtransmission, blur confirmed, checked with Firefox Developer Edition, blur confirmed, checked with Dolphin, blur doesn't appear, checked with Telegram Desktop, blur confirmed, checked with VLC, blur confirmed. So it has to be something about the non-KDE Software. Operating System: Arch Linux Kernel version: 5.2.14 KDE Plasma Version: 5.16.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.62 Qt Version: 5.13.1
Plasma 5.17 beta is not affected on Arch Linux. Operating System: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.16.90 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.62.0 Qt Version: 5.13.1
